Learners are encouraged to color their food items after our live meeting since the class will focus only on the drawing of several pieces. I would like to demonstrate the DRAWING of as many examples as time will allow.Class Experience
US Grade 1 - 4
In this class, we will explore options for drawing representations of favorite savory food items and salty snacks (taco, burgers fries, sushi, popcorn and more). I love to build drawing skills through the use of fun and popular food items as subject matter. We will begin with the most basic versions and make our way up to slightly more advanced versions (depending on comfort level). This class will focus heavily on the use of geometric shapes (like rectangles, circles, and trapezoids) along with familiar symbols to create our finished products. I will demonstrate step by step during the live class (where students will be encouraged to ask questions and share ideas). Learners will only need a pencil and some plain practice paper (or a sketchbook). No coloring materials are required as we will focus on the drawing portion. Coloring the finished works of art after the meeting of our live class will be encouraged (since I would like to demonstrate as many food item drawings as possible during our time together).
Learning Goals
Students will build confidence in drawing skills through the use of basic geometric shapes and familiar symbols that are easy to form. Students will also reinforce an awareness of these geometric shapes and how we can recognize them in everyday objects.

After several years of teaching art and kindergarten, I noticed that many of my students share the same adoration for drawing fun foods and delectable desserts. At one point, I began to create directed drawing lessons on YouTube. The drawing content turned out to be very popular with young artists of various ages. I was delighted when students made requests for more "food item" drawings. This inspired me create more unique food designs and teach them step by step.
