Hi! I’m Mrs. Murphy. I graduated from Harvard in 2018 with a degree in education. I’m currently working on a Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University in mathematics education. I’ve been teaching for six years- three at Greenwood High School in Mississippi and three at Pace Center for Girls in Pensacola, Florida. I was awarded Mississippi teacher of the Year in 2020 and nominated for Alternative School Teacher of the Year in 2023. I married my husband in 2021, and July 2023 I welcomed my daughter Melody and took some time off to be a new mom. I am looking forward to sharing my expertise in college admissions, mathematics, and history. I am fully licensed 6-12 in both subjects. ( I applied and gained admission to twelve schools including Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, and Brown.) To read my story, google "Kimberly Sanford" and "The Atlantic." My personal statement is published in the collection: "Students from Mississippi Write About Their State."
