Sat Prep: A Strategic Roadmap To Exam Success
In this comprehensive SAT prep course, we will go over each question type and give students concrete strategies for taking the SAT test. Students can start at any point.

In this class, we will review the SAT by question type - focusing on concrete strategies for each type of question. We will practice each question type, using the strategies we went over, and spend some time going over student questions. We will always cover the topic listed first in the session, but because students are encouraged to bring questions, we may cover other topics each class as well. Note that the entire sequence is 12 weeks - students can jump in at any time. Schedule of Study: Week of January 22 - Reading and Writing: Command of Evidence Questions Week of January 29 - Reading and Writing: Text structure and purpose, central ideas and details, Week of February 5 - Reading and Writing: Inferences, context and cross-text connections Week of February 12 - Reading and Writing: Transitions, form, structure and sense Week of February 19 - Reading and Writing: Rhetorical Synthesis Week of February 26 - Reading and Writing: Grammar (Boundaries Questions) Week of March 4 - Math: Working with linear equations Week of March 11 - Math: Working with rates, ratios, proportions, unit conversions and more Week March 18 - Math: Working with quadratic and polynomial equations Week March 25 - Math: Interpreting graphs and other visual representation questions Week April 1 - Math: Radical and rational expressions, exponents, isolating quantities Week April 8 - Math: Geometry and Trigonometry

Supply List
Students should have a notebook where they keep all practice problems and notes for this class. I suggest a binder so that they can more easily organize their notebook.
