We'll read some fun rhyming books like "Frog on a Log", and "Rhyme Crime", find rhyming words in our stories, explore rhyming with online matching games and work togther on a cut and paste rhyming words/pictures project togther in class!

Class experience

Students will listen to stories and ask and answer questions throughout the readings, practice taking turns talking, listening and sharing ideas for words that rhyme. In class, we will practice rhyming by working on a rhyming words/pictures match and work on fine motor skills when we cut and paste the matching pictures together using the printouts provided to enrolled learners on the classroom page.

Please print out the projects and follow directions for prep before class begins.

* It's not mandatory that your learner participate in the activities. If they prefer to observe and work on the projects after class that's OK too!

** If no printer is available learners can work on the cut and paste word project with me on screen!

*** In order to promote class discussions and participation I do not mute learners' microphones. This also helps learners practice their social skills such as active listening and taking turns. In order for this to work, students need to be in a quiet setting away from background noises (loud conversations, telephone calls, t.v, etc.). **

Please print out the activity pages for class and follow the directions included so the match game is ready to play when class begins. * If you do not have a printer, learners can work on the matching game on screen with me!
Because of the age of the class I recommend a grown up be within "ear-shot" to help with any technical hiccups (mic and video) that might come up. Please print out the project pdf before class and follow directions for minimal project prep.
