In this class we are going to talk about "opposites". We will start our class with "Show 'n Tell"; each learner will bring two things to class; two things that are the same or two things that are different. They will have a chance to tell their classmates about them and have their classmates identity them as the same or different. Learners will receive some instruction and then we will participate in games to find "opposites". Learners will have an opportunity to interact with their classmates and their teacher (me:)) In my classes I want to encourage learners to learn new concepts and gain confidence. I look forward to meeting your learner.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
