Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
This party will start with introducing our dolls to the class! This generally takes about 10 minutes and is a great time to practice listening, sharing and public speaking.

After introductions, we will brainstorm different Saint Patrick's Day decorations we can make for our dolls. Rainbows, pots of gold, clover banners or jewelry, hats, headbands, etc! Party goers will each pick something they want to work on using the supplies they have handy. Please note that I do not lead learners in ONE group activity. Learners get to pick something that they are excited about and will use in their own playing. We will all share what we are working on as we get started crafting. While learners craft, I weave in some cool Saint Patrick's Day trivia and jokes.

I am a fun and flexible teacher who encourages positivity in all her classes. I try to listen and engage all students during class. I use slides with inviting graphics and other visuals to engage learners. Learners don't need any experience to participate.

Parental Guidance
Please help your learner with hot glue guns or sharp scissors. Safety first! You are also more than welcome to help in the crafting process as long as you are off camera as per Outschool rules!
Supply List
Party goers should bring their doll to class with them as well as any crafting supplies they want to create with. All classmates will come with different supplies so just bring what you have on hand! I find cereal box cardboard is helpful. People have also brought things like felt, pompoms, pipe cleaners, beads, sequins, glitter, paper, scissors, tape, and glue. Depending on what your learner wants to make, you can save boxes, bottles or toilet paper roles to use as well. For this class, I'd also recommend having green crayons, markers, paper, felt or pompoms since Saint Patrick's Day often has a lot of green.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
