Step by step instructions for making rock art. Interaction with teacher as I ask questions and oversee the development of designs. Ideas on what to use them for-like the garden- desktop- gifts- small rocks can be made into jewelry- etc. Students will choose a design (ideas provided or bring their own) or brainstorm with classmates. They will then sketch it on their rock. Lastly, they will paint (or color with medium of choice) it. Everyone will share their creations in an “art show” Students should be able to draw basic shapes and use paints, markers or paint pens or crayons independently.
