Class Experience

In this workshop students will:

Use an online application to program a virtual robot using  basic programming block functions 
Learn how to debug code, step-by-step, to determine what blocks are need to  make the robot perform according to the problem statements.
Learn the purpose of directions, distance, time, coordinates, ordered pairs and plotting points block and how to use them in their code.

A Kahoot activity  recap knowledge of understanding. 
No prior experience necessary.

Learning Goals

Students will learn basic programming  functions to navigate the virtual robot to perform  tasks using directions, distance, time, coordinates, ordered pairs and plotting points blocks.  

Students will be prepared to proceed to level 2 Robotics coding.

This class is being offered to help students achieve beyond proficiency in their core subjects particularly in ELA and Math. I have over 10 years of experience teaching technology integration with core subjects to students, teachers and administrators. Combining computer science and technology with these subjects enable students to look a problem from different lens and coming up with solutions in a non-traditional way.
