Module 1 & 2: Variables & Properties • Review how to use and navigate the features in Roblox Studios. • Learn how to create scripts and test your code. • Use strings, variables, and while loops to make disco objects • Apply code to manipulate an object's properties (color, transparency, etc) Module 3 & 4 : Programming Functions & Conditionals • Learn about functions, parameters, arguments, returning values, and if/then statements. • Apply functions and if/then statement to create improved traps and power ups in the game. • Add a script to the Adventure Game to give the player a power up. Module 5 & 6 : Programming Loops • Learn about loops. • Apply loops to make a lamp that brightens and dims over time and create point giving parts. • Create multiple platforms and lava as obstacles in the game. Module 7 & 8: Start Adventure Game • Setting up Adventure Game in Roblox • Apply the computer programming concepts and LUA language to create an "Epic Treasure" script. You will have to create an account to download the software. • An external mouse is strongly recommended. • Stable internet network connection.

Since 2009, Computer Adventures has been partnering with parents, schools, school districts, recreation centers, libraries, home-schoolers, various organizations and businesses to provide enrichment classes, camps, events and parties, coaching, consulting and teacher training.
We offer on-line and in-person, public as well as private group classes. For our private group classes, we will accommodate your course choice, schedule, virtual or physical venue, and provide instructors and equipment (if needed).
