Join a community that celebrates your victories and encourages you to grow! ___________________________________________________________ What We’ll Cover: -Introduction to Roblox Studio and how to navigate the coding platform -Building concepts (Modeling, Scaling, Customization, Terrain Editor) -End-of-class sharing session to showcase projects Why Take This Class: Beginner-Friendly: No prior experience needed; we start with the basics! Build Confidence: Kids learn at their own pace in a supportive, encouraging environment. Fun Projects: Each lesson is hands-on and allows for creativity and self-expression. Patient Guidance: Our teachers are experienced and understands how to create a welcoming space for all learners ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tech For the best coding experience, mobile students are encouraged to have one device for coding and one device for Zoom.📱💻 Students who are coding on computers can use the same device for both if they know how to switch back and forth between the two application. Headsets are not necessary, but do provide a more focused experience and tend to block out more background noise. 🎧 Before Class Students should ensure their devices are compatible with the Roblox Studio app. Students should also be comfortable with the device they will be coding on as this class does not help with computer literacy skills. We do not create our own code in class but focus more on creating in Roblox Studio or using items from the Toolbox to add to our own creations. We will primarily use the Explorer, Properties, Toolbox, and Terrain Editor menus/features. Students need to know how to: Left Click/Right Click on their mouse How to toggle between different tabs (Zoom, Roblox Studio, Google Doc Browser) Week of 6/3 Open Roblox Studio, Moving with keys and mouse, Menu, Save Game Week of 6/10 Menu recap, Explorer Menu, Workspace Week of 6/17 Parts Menu, Scaling Parts, Moving Parts, Rotating Parts, Anchoring Week of 6/24 Properties Menu, Size, Color, Material Manager Week of 7/1 Toolbox Features-Models, Inspecting Models, Inserting Models, Explorer Week of 7/8 Input, Controls, and Camera Week of 7/15 Sound Effects Week of 7/22 Modeling Week of 7/29 Create a Mood Week of 8/5 Environments: Lighting, Skyboxes, Terrain Editor
