Beginner - Advanced Level
Welcome to the vibrant world of Squishmallows, where soft, squishy, and utterly adorable pals are eager to play. Join the Squishmallows Squad and embark on a delightful journey filled with friendship, creativity, and adventure. This club is learner directed. Activities will be discussed and chosen throughout class. There are lots of choices, so if a learner prefers to do something else, that’s ok. - Learners will engage in activities designed to contribute to the development of their emotional intelligence, interpersonal relationships, and communication proficiency. They will also advance their computer literacy and technical capabilities through interactive gameplay, preparing them for a technologically driven future.
I am the parent of a gamer and am also part of several Facebook and Discord groups for Adult Gamers. I have been playing Squishmallows and collecting real Squishmallows for several years.
For the best experience, it is recommended that two devices be used for this class. One device for the Outschool Zoom meeting and a second device for Roblox. However, it is possible to use tabs if a second device is not available. Gamers will need a Roblox account and the Roblox app set up before class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Common Sense Media rates Roblox age 13. This is due to the unmoderated nature of the games as well as the chat feature. Squishmallows is a free game on the Roblox platform that is listed as an all ages game. I provide a private server so your child will only be playing with other Outschool learners with me as a coach to assist with kind, inclusive and respectful gaming. Learners need a Roblox account, and the Roblox App. Guardians must provide permission for their enrolled student to share their Roblox Gamer Tag with me. Please message me your learner's Roblox Gamer Tag so that I can send them a friend request. Please note that the private server will only be available during class time while I am available to monitor it and it is recorded through Outschool. Class recordings will be posted for parents of enrolled learners, as soon as they are available.
