Class Experience

In this 90 minute class, students will be taught to make their own obby in Roblox! They will learn how to create game elements and also use elements from the toolbox in Roblox Studio (a computer aided design platform for making Roblox games).

Before Class:

- You must have a Roblox account
- You must have downloaded and installed the Roblox Studio application on your Windows/Mac laptop/computer
- Please note: Roblox Studio does not work on tablets or chromebooks
- You should have a mouse

Teaching Methodology:

Our approach is project-based. We strongly believe that engaged, happy students are the best learners. Our projects have an end goal, and most are game based. We use coding to solve a problem. We have up to 6 student in this class, allowing the class to be interactive with lots of opportunities to ask questions and share knowledge. 

What you would need:

Please make sure that the learner has downloaded and installed Roblox Studio prior to joining the class (available for PC and Mac operating systems). Please check system requirements prior to booking with us if you're not sure. You also need to have a Roblox username created.

Age Requirement: 

8 to 12

This is an introductory class and no prior Roblox Studio experience is expected.
Learning Goals
Students will understand the basics of computer aided design and the design environment within Roblox Studio. It is just as much as design technology course as it is a game development one.
