Everyone is talking about Roblox: Doors! It's a new and unique horror game involving... doors. In this class, we'll get together in a private server. The objective of the game is to survive as long as we can without dying to the monsters or Entities. We'll have to open drawers to earn coins and find items such as Lighters and Batteries. I'll be hiding inside the wardrobe or under the bed! :) For the best experience, it is recommended that one device is used for Zoom and another for playing Roblox. However, it is possible to use tabs if a 2nd device is not available. A private server will be used to create a safe and positive environment for practicing conversation and social skills. Please be sure to have the Roblox app downloaded and an account set up before coming to class.

Parental Guidance Statement: Roblox is a gaming app/website aimed at children. Roblox users download the Roblox app to their computer, game console, phone, or tablet. They then select a Roblox game to play each time they open the app. This class requires an Roblox Account with a gamer tag or username. Starting an account is free and easy to do! Please be advised that learners will be required to share their Roblox Username with the teacher through private message. While in-game, other learners may be able to send and receive friend requests with other children in the class/server. However, Roblox Privacy settings can be adjusted by the parent in order to allow or block friend requests. Please be sure to discuss in-game privacy, online safety and chat/game courtesy with your child before class begins.
Doors is a mildly scary Roblox experience. If you're not familiar with this title, I recommend that you preview it before enrolling. The game contains an epilepsy and sound warning. Headphones are recommended.

Through gaming, children can make friends from all over the world, give a virtual gift to a new buddy or help someone through a challenge. Discussion, humor and an element of surprise work wonders in keeping children engaged in meaningful learning.
