In this fun ongoing class we will join the characters from Roald Dahl's classic books on an adventure that will be different every week. This class is best for learners who are familiar with some of Roald Dahl's books, but it can also be a great introduction to the author. I hope that this course inspires your learners to keep reading. I recommend that children read the books before class, but there is no required reading. In this class we are using themes from the famous stories. There...

This is a fun social interactive class. Learners will gain a wide variety of skills and each lesson is unique. In some lessons we will work on writing techniques, either creative writing, or persuasive writing, or journalism. In some classes we will learn about science, either physics, or biology. There are also some art classes and discussion classes.
I have been teaching for over 15 years. I have a literature degree from Indiana University and a teaching certificate (CELTA) from Cambridge.
Because this is a once a week ongoing course there will be no expectation for homework. However, students often want to keep working on the project that they started in class, whether it's finishing their short story, or further developing their invention. They are always welcome to send me their work after the class, and if there's time they can share during the class the following week.
Some of the classes may be enhanced with some extra materials, but it's not required. I will send out worksheets for each class beforehand along with a list of supplies for the lesson. If you are able to print the worksheets and collect the supplies that would be great. If not, the students need a minimum of paper and a pen or pencil to participate in all activities.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
