Welcome to Rhyme Time Adventures, a silly class full of games, crafts and laughter! This is a modified version of my Rhyme Time Summer Camp for those that cannot commit to longer class times over a shorter period of time. Some activities are modified but many are the same. You'll love this class if you like to make friends, be creative, let your silly side show and sprinkle in a bit of learning as well! Each week will follow a similar format. In this class, learners will use nursery rhymes to hear rhythm and repetition in language while practicing skills such as rhyming words, syllables, shapes, and matching. Learners will also flex their creativity muscles through art projects and games. Crafts will provide opportunities for practicing fine motor skills and yoga will allow for some gross motor movement.

Many of the activities are hands on and will be provided by the teacher. Parents will be encouraged to use these activities as practice tools outside of class.Grades Offered
Spin Art: white cardstock, salad spinner, 3 colors of paint, red construction paper, cotton ball, white paint, glue, googly eyes Paper Plate Clock: paper plate, paint, brush, paper fastener, small paper squares, glue, marker or crayon Spider Shape Match: materials provided by teacher` Spiderweb Painting: white paper, white crayon, water color paints, water, paint brush Paper Plate Pie: paper plate, paint (preferably brown), brush, black construction paper, scissors, googly eyes Mitten Match: materials provided by teacher Cotton Ball Sheep: Black construction paper, sheep cutout (provided by teacher), cotton balls, glue Animal Bingo: bingo card provided by teacher, buttons or small item to serve as a board marker Cow Jumped Over the Moon Craft: cow clipart (provided by teacher), glue, white paper in the shape of a circle, glitter, yellow crayon, black paper Star Spelling: glue, glitter, star cutouts (provided by teacher), crayon or marker, black construction paper
Please be mindful of your learner's comfort level with scissors. If necessary, it might be helpful to remain close-by to help with any activities that require cutting. However, please also remember to stay off camera per Outschool's policy of only having learners on screen.
