Students will improve their knowledge of the EDEXCEL IGCSE Biology syllabus content and their approach to decoding the examinations questions. I am to ensure that all students will understand the terminology and phrases that the examination board are looking for in their examination papers.
I am an experienced and qualified teacher who has been a Head of Department for 16 years. I have degrees in Biology and Psychology and have taught the EDEXCEL IGCSE syllabus for over 15 years.
Homework Offered
I will set a range of past examination questions for students to work on, in and out of lessons.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

I will cover evolution by natural selection and will teach students what they need to know about this topic in order to maximise their marks in the examinations. I will cover the anatomy of the male and female reproductive systems in line with the syallbus content and my discussions on this topic will essentially focus on structures and functions. I will also cover the effect of sex hormones on seondary sexual characteristics and again my discussions will only stretch as far as ensuring the course content is covered, such that a student can gain full marks for associated questions on this topic. There are some topics that will require ethics to be discussed e.g. genetically engineered organisms. I will always promote a balanced point of view as this is what is required by the examination board to access all marking points.
