Restaurant Skills
In this unit, team members will learn about acceptable restaurant behavior, including how to read a menu, making healthy choices, ordering food the
way you like, paying and tipping at a restaurant.

Topics covered: Restaurant Choices, Restaurant Rules and Responsibilities, and Restaurant Skills are Real World Skills. Students will participate in discussions as well as in small games from the assignment. Throughout this unit, team members participate in lessons focused on restaurant skills. These lessons not only promote positive restaurant behavior, but also build globally applicable life skills. For example, one of the lessons offers practice with time concepts, including telling time and calculating backward and forward time problems. In another Lesson, team members learn about using a debit card. In another lessons, team members explore new and realistic job options that meet their current ability level.
