In this ongoing course, we will be reading lots of fun stories together, filling out graphic organizers, answering comprehension questions, and doing a word search with vocabulary from the story.

In this ongoing course, we will be reading lots of fun and exciting stories together. This class is super laidback and student-driven. Students will be able to interact with each other to work on problem-solving and critical thinking. → Students will improve their reading comprehension skills. → Students will improve their overall reading fluency. → Students will improve their critical thinking & problem-solving skills. → Students will learn the value of previewing texts and using graphic organizers. → Students will have a GREAT time and make some new friends along the way!
I have been very fortunate to work with many students over the past 10 years on their reading fluency and comprehension, including my own children. I truly enjoy fostering a love for reading in young learners!
All learners are welcome in my classroom!
Students must be able to read (on a basic level) and be able to operate a computer mouse independently.
All materials will be provided to the students.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
We will be using a third-party tool called LUMIO Smart Suite for our lessons. I will be sharing a link to the lesson so that the students and I can go through the material together. All activities on LUMIO may only accessed during our live class as the link becomes inactive when I end the lesson. Students will not need an account of any kind to view our content on LUMIO. They will be asked to enter their first name so that I can track all feedback from students during the lesson. No other information is requested or required.
