In these 4-weeks classes, students will learn four reading foundations: short-vowels, color words, nouns, verbs, adverbs, antonyms, and categories of objects. Sight words are words that students are expected to recognize instantly.

Beginner Level
Students will improve their understanding and fluency of words: with vowels, colors, and part of speech. 
I am a retired teacher with a master's degree and with five years of elementary education. I taught my adult children to read before and supported their education in school. I took on my  own to become an active at-home teacher especially when the kindergarten teachers of two of my four children told me that they would fail kindergarten because they did not know the ABC and could not read sight words. Actually, I enjoy teaching my grandson! 
Homework Offered
I expect students to practice new skills at home.

Progress is assessed informally during class participation
Grades Offered
The child should be able to sit for at least 55 minutes with short reasonable breaks.
