Class Experience

US Grade 8 - 11
This course is designed for students that have an interest in health science such as medicine, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, prosthetics and orthotics, exercise science, and physical rehabilitation.

Students will participate in a fun-fact search and share each week. At the end of the course the fun facts will be merged into a final booklet of fun facts. Students should expect sporadic "quick quizzes" in which students will demonstrate their knowledge via small quizzes. These quizzes allow me to review areas of confusion.

Everyone's career goals and interests are different; students will also have the opportunity to schedule 1:1 chat sessions with me to discuss any specific questions they have about course content. This course is designed to provide several short (10-20 minute) activities such as movement labs and collaborative scavenger hunts. Posted lectures and demonstrations (30-minutes or 2 15-minute sessions) will be posted each week.

Each week we will discuss a branch of rehabilitation sciences. Our discussion will include careers, educational requirements for the field, general overview of the field, fun facts, and a demonstration.
