US Grade 3 - 6
Through sharing a part of a longer, untold story, your child will learn how to ask questions that will lead them to use deductive reasoning to solve a word mystery. For example, "Up against the wall, he knew it was all over." By asking yes and no questions, eventually we arrive at the conclusion that he was an outfielder at a baseball game that had a home run hit sail into the center field stands, thus ending the game. Every child will have a chance to ask questions - either through sharing the "air time" or using the raised hand icon in Zoom. I like kids to get brave and share their thoughts in a safe group. I enjoy interacting with the kids in a respectful manner and helping them see the value in their thoughts and opinions.
Learning Goals
The student will learn to ask thoughtful questions, become better listeners, develop vocabulary through multiple meaning words and be considerate of their peers.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! My name is Mrs. Sadino and I'm excited to be a part of this community of learners. I just returned from taking a couple of years off from online line teaching and am excited to be part of Outschool again. Previously, I taught public school for 26 years, mainly at the elementary level, working with children with diverse needs and talents in a Special Education classroom. I also have my Masters in Educational Technology from Lesley University.
All great adventures start with a "try" by putting one foot in front of the other and that is why I am thrilled to be able to share my experiences with your child through Outschool. I describe myself as patient, reflective and flexible. In my free time, I coach an all girls high school robotic team, enjoy camping, traveling, playing with my two Labrador Retrievers and grooming my horses.
