Every musician needs experience playing in front of an audience! Recital Time with Ms. Katie is a great place to start! Your learner will gain confidence and maturity as they grow in their musicianship in this class.

In this class, pianists will meet together in Ms. Katie's online studio to practice playing for each other. Ms. Katie will offer tips, encouragements, and advice for performing while providing a safe environment for growth. 

Tips for a successful recital class:
    1) Come dressed for success! (preferably, no pajamas)
    2) Have music available and ready to go.
    3) Ensure a quiet and peaceful environment.
    4) Remain respectful during other pianists' performances. 
    5) Keep performances no longer than 5 minutes each.
                 Occasionally, learners may have the opportunity to perform more than once 
                 (either the same piece, or two pieces).

After learner verification, cameras may be turned off during performances if desired. 

Other learners will remain muted during performances.

While this is a recital-style class, there may also be moments of teaching as necessary depending on the individual needs of the moment.

Depending on the number of learners, their level of study, and the length of their piano pieces, this class may take from 20-30 minutes. 

Please remember Outschool's policy of having only the enrolled learner visible in the camera. (This includes people in the background.)

Also, please refrain from having your learning eating during class.
