In this 1-day class, high school students will learn how to get a real estate license and understand its benefits. They will explore the role and importance of real estate agents, basic requirements like age and education, and pre-licensing courses. The class will cover the licensing exam and the application process, as well as post-licensing and continuing education requirements. Trisha Ocona became a student of real estate at the mere age of 19 when she was working at a real estate law firm in the city hall section of New York City. During her quest of learning, she was promoted to office manager and assigned to also manage the commercial office real estate for her employer. After that life changing introduction to real estate, Ms Ocona ventured into her own career in real estate.
Ms Ocona got licensed as a real estate salesperson, a year later she qualified to obtain her brokerage license, opened her own real estate firm, and a few years later began teaching the NYS Real Estate licensing course NYC Medgar Evers College and Baruch College.
Trisha Ocona has been a Certified Distance Education Instructor since 2018, and is trained to teach real estate virtually. Ms Ocona has introduced and coached many young people on the tools and tips of both real estate and a career in it. Her passion is sharing her experiences and her knowledge with young people, who were once like her seeking the information.
Ms Ocona is often requested to teach real estate students all around the globe. She has been a key speaker at the National Association of Realtors Conventions and the NYC Real Estate Expo to name a few. She has received numerous real estate and community awards for her dedication and expertise.
Ms Ocona is the mother of three school aged children. Her seven year old daughter wants to follow in her real estate professional footsteps and her six year old son wants to be a construction engineer and is a student member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Her twelve year old daughter is in seventh grade and also a mini medical school student at a university. Ms Ocona often takes travel adventures with her children to discover the world of real estate.
