Beginner Level
The Real Estate Explorer’s 4-Day consecutive Virtual Camp is designed to give elementary school children a fun and educational introduction to real estate using interactive creative projects, and hands-on learning. Explorers will gain a deeper understanding of the real estate world. Each day, we will explore a new real estate concept through a dynamic blend of colorful presentations, engaging discussions, and hands-on activities. ****Activities included in each session*** *Welcome and warm-up:a fun greeting trivia *Module 1:part 1 of the lesson for the day *Break: 2 minutes *Module 2:part 2 of the lesson for the day *Closing activity *Wrap- up and closing ***Learning Objectives*** *Learn what it means to own property and the rights that come with it. *Learn about different uses of real estate and why they are important. *Identify different types of buildings and the importance of community spaces. *Understand that property values show how much something is worth. *Name and identify parts of a home and what each part does. *Understand the differences between renting and owning a home, and the responsibilities of each. *Learn the basic steps to buying a home, including choosing a house, budgeting, and making a decision. This will help us understand the concepts of property rights and ownership in an engaging and exciting way suitable for our young Real Estate Explorers. Next, we will explore the different jobs in real estate, what each person does, and why working together as a team is important.

Day 2 we'll explore the about property rights. They'll learn what it means to own something and discover the special rights that come with ownership. Explorers uncover the factors that determine the value of property, such as location and features, and understand how property values can change over time.

Day 3|Building Basics
Day 3, we'll explore fascinating world of buildings, architecture, and homes. This will help us teach the concepts of property rights and ownership in an engaging and exciting way suitable for our young Real Estate Explorers. A class packet for the camp lessons will be available for you to print before camp begins. Teacher expertise and credentials
Trisha Ocona became a student of real estate at the mere age of 19 when she was working at a real estate law firm in the city hall section of New York City. During her quest of learning, she was promoted to office manager and assigned to also manage the commercial office real estate for her employer. After that life changing introduction to real estate, Ms Ocona ventured into her own career in real estate.
Ms Ocona got licensed as a real estate salesperson, a year later she qualified to obtain her brokerage license, opened her own real estate firm, and a few years later began teaching the NYS Real Estate licensing course NYC Medgar Evers College and Baruch College.
Trisha Ocona has been a Certified Distance Education Instructor since 2018, and is trained to teach real estate virtually. Ms Ocona has introduced and coached many young people on the tools and tips of both real estate and a career in it. Her passion is sharing her experiences and her knowledge with young people, who were once like her seeking the information.
Ms Ocona is often requested to teach real estate students all around the globe. She has been a key speaker at the National Association of Realtors Conventions and the NYC Real Estate Expo to name a few. She has received numerous real estate and community awards for her dedication and expertise.
Ms Ocona is the mother of three school aged children. Her seven year old daughter wants to follow in her real estate professional footsteps and her six year old son wants to be a construction engineer and is a student member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Her twelve year old daughter is in seventh grade and also a mini medical school student at a university. Ms Ocona often takes travel adventures with her children to discover the world of real estate.
