Unlock Your Child’s Reading Potential with Personalized Tutoring for Lasting Success! In these one-on-one tutoring sessions, I focus on building essential foundational reading skills using an explicit and systematic approach. Whether your child is developing early reading skills or facing challenges like dyslexia, ADHD, or other learning differences, my lessons are customized to meet their unique needs. With a research-backed, multi-sensory method, I will guide them through key skills necessary for proficient reading, ensuring they gain confidence and mastery over time. What Will Be Taught: Each session will cover four key areas essential to reading development: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, and Comprehension. The specific skills we focus on within these areas will be personalized based on my assessment of your child’s individual needs. For example, one child might work on blending sounds in the phonics section, while another may focus on recognizing sound patterns. The approach ensures that your child receives targeted instruction in all key areas while addressing their unique strengths and areas for growth. How the Class is Structured: Each session will be 30 minutes long and will follow a gradual progression through these key skills. The program is flexible and tailored to your child's specific needs, so some topics may be revisited or extended depending on their progress. I will provide regular feedback to parents to keep them informed of their child’s progress. How I Will Teach: I use a multi-sensory approach with visual aids, hands-on activities, and interactive exercises, which help reinforce concepts in a way that engages learners. Students will have plenty of opportunities to practice through games, oral reading, and written exercises. I keep the sessions fun, engaging, and full of interaction to make sure students stay focused and motivated. Parents are encouraged to communicate with me regularly to discuss any concerns, and I adapt my lessons to address individual challenges. Interaction: Since this is a one-on-one tutoring class, students will get my full attention during each session. They can ask questions at any time, and I encourage active participation throughout the lesson. Required Experience/Background Knowledge: No prior experience is necessary. This class is designed for learners at various stages, from early readers to those who are struggling due to reading disabilities like dyslexia. Pacing: The pacing of the class is adjusted based on each child’s individual needs. The very first session with any new learner will include an intake assessment to help identify their current skill level and plan future sessions accordingly.
