The 30-minute class consists of a fun ice breaker to get to know each other, story time, student discussion and comprehension questions, and learning/reviewing sight words used in the story. The short story that I wrote is about the day in the life of some forest animals and used to teach a lesson about friendships.
Learning Goals
Students will engage in the class discussion.
Students will ask and answer questions about key details in the reading passage.
Students will learn/review the sight words highlighted in the story.

My name is Stacie. My classes cover different topics that can include reading, science, medical, and health topics. My background in education includes twelve years in public education teaching Healthcare Science, five years at the technical school level teaching pharmacy, three years in ESOL teaching English to kids in China online, and one year as a reading tutor for kids K-8th Grades. I have a BS degree in Biology and a MS degree in Education K-12 grade.
I believe in the power of learning. Education is something that no one can ever take away or discredit. I look forward to fostering a fun and engaging learning experience with your child.
Something interesting and fun about me....... My husband and I live and travel in an RV with four cats and two dogs. We have 15 grandkids. There is never a dull moment.
