Welcome to Our Reading Adventure! Hey there, first and second graders! Are you ready to have fun while learning to read? Our class is perfect for kids like you who are excited to start reading and want to get even better. We’ll do fun activities that help us sound out words, spell, and read stories together! Class Details: When: We meet twice a week. Duration: Each session is 40 minutes of exciting learning. What We’ll Do: We’ll play with sounds and letters to help with: Spelling words Blending sounds to read Building reading fluency and comprehension skills Enjoying special stories Breaking down big words Recognizing sound patterns Focusing on common words to make reading easier We’ll use all our senses to make learning fun and engaging! Checking Our Progress: We’ll track how much you’ve learned and adjust our lessons to keep helping you grow. What We Need from You: Attend all the classes. Come ready to have fun and participate. Be on time. Use a tablet, laptop, or desktop for our lessons. Have your supplies ready. Ask for help whenever you need it. Wear a headset to hear better. Let us know at least 24 hours ahead (if possible) if you need to change your schedule. Use the learner tab to message your teacher, and I’ll reply within 24 hours. Remember, practice makes progress! I’m excited to help you on your reading journey!

Other Details
Pre-Requisites
Students should be able to identify and write letters of the alphabet, know the spelling and sounds of common letters, and blend sounds to read basic words. This foundation will help us build stronger reading skills together.
Supply List
Learners should come to class with either the teacher provided class print-outs or plain paper with a pencil, marker, crayon, or colored pencil. Students may also use a dry erase board if they prefer. From time-to-time, we may use blank index cards to make flashcards that can be used in class for games and at home for practice.
