Class Experience

Each week the children will learn about one letter of the alphabet. The students will listen to a story about the letter, learn the letter sound, talk about words/objects that start with that letter and create a scene using the letter of the day objects.

The students will learn by discussing the letter of the week with the teacher. This class will be great for all types of learners. Each class will involve auditory, visual, and kinesthetic (hands on) learning.

Here is the weekly breakdown.
October 27 - H
November 3 - I
November 10 - J
November 17 - K
December 1 - L
December 8 - M
December 15 - N

No background knowledge is needed.

No homework will be assigned but I will give resources after class to reinforce what we learned. The first 15 minutes of class will be geared toward the learning activities. The last 5 minutes will be working on the scene project for that letter and a link will be given so the learners can create the scene at home.

Feel free to message me to see what letter we are studying that week. We will learn the letters in order.

Hello! My name is Kellie. I have over 15 years of experience teaching students in a variety of settings.
I have continued to expand my teaching experience and explore new areas of interest. I have taught students of various ages and backgrounds, both in traditional classroom settings and online platforms.

I strive to create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to each student's unique learning style, fostering their confidence and love for learning.

In terms of my qualifications, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood and a Reading Endorsement. My passion lies in teaching foundational skills, particularly in reading. I firmly believe that every student has the potential to learn, but it's important to recognize and accommodate their individual learning needs and pace. In my classes, I provide multiple approaches to learning a concept, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to grasp it in a way that resonates with them.

Beyond my teaching experience, I have a diverse background in agriculture and farming. My husband and I are actively involved in raising quarter horses for working cow horse competitions. I find joy in merging my love for agriculture with my teaching endeavors, incorporating elements of farm life and nature into my lessons. It's a unique way to engage students and broaden their understanding of the world around them.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I'm excited to connect with more learners and families, and I look forward to the opportunity to inspire a love for learning in your child.
