Cultivate your child's confidence and speech through public speaking and debate training. This performance art style class integrates basic to advanced topics. This is a Read by Three Method Phase: LEVEL 4 ✍️ “BUILDING” PHASE: Public Speaking and debate practice helps learners to develop thoughts, opinions, and arguments effectively while boosting confidence. Teacher works with them through expressing their ideas on paper (handwriting) and learning how to check grammar mistakes. In our public speaking/debate class, children will learn foundational public speaking skills such as body language, eye contact, projection, and clarity of speech. They will also learn basic debate techniques, including how to structure arguments, use evidence to support their points, and engage in respectful discourse with others. The tips and tricks are similar to a Socratic method. The topics we cover will vary depending on the interests of the students, but topic cards are available for inspiration to spark the debate. Throughout our public speaking and debate course, we will explore a unique blend of skills, including analyzing the pros and cons of an opinionated topic, distinguishing fact from fiction, and presenting strong evidence. We'll also focus on effective debate techniques, including proper intonation and vocal cadence. This dynamic approach will create a engaging and interactive learning experience for the student. Our teaching style is interactive, with a focus on fostering confidence and critical thinking skills in the student. Your learner will have plenty of opportunities to interact with through discussions, one-on-one coaching, role playing exercises, and feedback sessions. I believe that the more they practice and receive personalized feedback, the more they will grow and develop as effective communicators and bloom with confidence.
