In this engaging class, students will explore timeless classic novels such as “The Little Prince” and “The Secret Garden” while building essential reading comprehension skills. Tailored for 4th and 5th graders, the course focuses on developing strong reading habits, improving vocabulary, and deepening understanding through guided discussions, activities, and critical thinking exercises. Students will analyze plot structure, character development, themes, and literary devices, all while enjoying some of the most beloved works of literature. Through these novel studies, students will gain confidence in reading, enhance their ability to interpret texts, and foster a lifelong love for reading. Learning Goals
