It may be laminated or put in a sheet protector to write with a dry erase marker. How do we build words? Magnetic letters are best, but Playdoh or letter cut outs would work. Try Dollar Tree! **Playdough contains gluten and cannot be used by students who are Celiac or have a gluten intolerance. Alternative (or homemade) dough may be used as well due to this allergen. We will interact every class. Participants will be gently guided to produce written and verbal responses. Come join the fun!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi,
I'm Emily Wagner and I love teaching kids English Language Arts and Reading. Those are my passions! I am a certified educator in Texas (EC-4 ESL Generalist and 4-8 Language Arts/Reading). I have more than 10 years classroom teaching experience. Fun fact: I was also a journalist and have two degrees in the subject: B.A. in Communications/Journalism from the University of Houston and an M.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University.
My teaching philosophy is that every child can learn and have a little fun at the same time. I am patient, and my students like me. I consider myself a lifelong learner.
I look forward to teaching all kinds of ELA and Reading classes on Outschool, including Whole Brain Writing, Writing with Mentor Texts, and Handwriting, to name a few.
I am married with two kids of my own, and an adorable hamster.
I truly look forward to meeting your child(ren) and helping them in their education journey.
