In this one time class, your child can get a feel for learning the phonics sounds in order to progress into reading and writing. This class is suited for Kindergarten and Pre-K children for both home school and extra practice.

Hello, my name is Miss Olivia and I am offering phonics classes for different aged learners. This class is most suitable for ages 2-5 and is a one time taster class for a course in phonics. During this class, we learn about the letter sounds in an order that benefits the children when it comes to reading. For the taster class - we will focus on the letter ’t’. We will play a game, sing a song, read a story and practice writing the letter 't'. I use a combination of different phonics programs in my classes which supports the children in sound recognition, hearing the initial sound within words and giving them the tools to write the sound using the correct letter formation. Once children are confident enough in a number of sounds, we will then be able to blend the sounds and begin with basic reading. The classes are fun and I use different tools to aid in their learning such as songs, stories, games, worksheets, crafts and more! If your child has a particular interest, please let me know - I would love to incorporate these interests into our sound learning for an even more fun and interactive experience. My name is Miss Olivia and I am from Wirral, England. I am a PGCE qualified teacher with over 10 years experience of teaching. I have taught in international schools in Vietnam, Egypt and India. As well as a Post Graduate Certificate of Education, I hold a Teach English as a Foreign Language certification.
I specialise in the Early Years Foundation, though I have taught children throughout primary of all different backgrounds and ability levels including children who have learning difficulties. I aim to tailor my lessons to the interests of the children to make all of my lessons fun and engaging for them.
I am offering courses in Phonics, Private Tuition (in all areas), English (for both foreign and native speakers) as well as some fun clubs such as Lego Club, Video Games Discussions, Story-time and Arts and Crafts Club.
