US Grade Kindergarten - 3
In this class your child will be taught the phonics patterns sneaky e and vowel teams using the Orton Gillingham multi-sensory approach to learning. Students will learn how to listen for the sound, read it within a word, write it down, and find it within a text. This class is a good fit for students who know their letters and sounds, CVC words, and Digraphs. The Orton-Gillingham Approach is a proven reading strategy designed to help students with dyslexia or other learning differences be successful readers. This is a perfect class for students who have been identified with dyslexia or who have a difficult time picking up reading. No matter your child's learning challenges they will be welcome with open arms and included in all of our fun! We will play interactive games together to create a positive learning environment. Students will be encouraged to try their best, hug their mistakes, and cheer on their classmates! Please note that the letters and sounds are not taught in alphabetical order for a reason.
