US Grade Kindergarten - 2
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this class, children wil learn to blend short "i" and short "o" vowel sounds to create CVC(constant-vowel-constant) words. Each week we will focus on a different blended sound. I will use a variety of games, reading, writng, and drawing activities to give learners as much exposure and repetition to the sounds and words as possible. We will also learn a few simple sight words so we can read short sentences using our new blended words vocabulary. Before each class, I will provide an activity sheet, in the classroom room, that you can print out for us to complete part of during each class. Here are the 12 weeks of sounds: Week 1 (January 6th-12th): "-ig" Week 2 (January 13th-19th): "-id" Week 3 (January 20th-26th): "-in" Week 4 (January 27th- February 2nd) : "-"ip Week 5 (February 3rd - 9th): "-it" Week 6 (February 10th - 16th)): "-im" Week 7 (February 17th - 23rd): "-ob" Week 8 (February 24th - March 2nd) : "-od" Week 9 (March 3rd - 9th) : "-op" Week 10 (March 10th - 16th) : "-ot" Week 11 (March 17th - 23rd) : "-ox" I will post in the classroom, before each upcoming class, the sound we will be focusing on and the activity sheet for that week.
