Class Experience

Students will use a small group reading club to increase reading fluency and comprehension. We will start each lesson by practicing new sight words and/or phonics sounds and reviewing words from previous weeks. We will then read together and discuss using before reading, during reading, & after reading comprehension questions. Optional drawing/writing homework will also be given.

My classroom is a safe and welcoming place where everyone is welcome and has a nurturing and encouraging place to learn. Students are always encouraged to ask questions, make connections and interact with their classmates.

If you would like to confirm that this is the right level course for your student, please schedule a "1:1 pre-tutoring assessment" session. Tutoring does not need to be booked after, it can be used to guide the placement and learning goals for a semester course.

Week 1 -- I am Invited to a Party
