Class Experience

In this single course class, have your child cozy up with a blanket while I read "The Rock Factory: A Story About the Rock Cycle" by Jacqui Bailey to them. "Our story of a stone begins thousands of millions of years ago..." After story time, we will watch a video clip from Hopscotch about how rocks are formed. Then, we will create a diagram of the rock cycle and discuss favorite rocks the student has discovered. (PDFs provided before class begins). For an after class enrichment activity, I will provide all the steps for a grow your own crystal experiment.

Hello from Texas! Although I am currently residing in Texas, we move quite often and that has allowed me to have many different types of career experiences. I have tutored privately and through well-known organizations; taught in the public school classroom setting with a self-contained classroom (including 4th grade and Texas History); substituted and interned in private school classroom settings; instructed at the community college level (History); assisted with museum operations; and homeschooled my three munchkins. I have worked with early education all the way up to the community college level. My Bachelors is in childhood education with a Master's in American History.
