US Grade Preschool - 1
Celebrate a private group class in a unique way. Each guest will learn about science at your "virtual party". The host gets to choose what we will do together. (How cool is that!) We will learn about art and science! A list of supplies will be posted in the classroom once the guest of honor has picked their experiment. I have a minimum of 3 learners, but max all the way to 10! Click "show alternative times" and choose a day and time at least 2 weeks out. Or contact me with a parent message. You can choose from: --Build (and Melt) a Marshmallow Snowman --Candy Cane Chemistry --Fizzling Rainbow Picture --Lava Lamp/Snowstorm in a Jar --Magic Rainbow Milk --Marbleized Cloud Dough: Make Your Own With Only 3 Ingredients --Marshmallow Play Dough using corn starch (Exploring the 5 Senses) --Mixing Colors and Making a Fizzling Rainbow --Painting With Colored Ice Cubes --Skittles (STEM): Counting, Sorting, Patterns, and Surprise Rainbows --Upside Down Fireworks in a Jar and more! Let me know what ages you will have and I can suggest an easier or more robust experiment based on the age group.

Supply List
A list of supplies will be posted in the classroom once the host has picked their experiment. This is one of my favorite experiments! MIXING COLORS AND MAKING A FIZZLING RAINBOW -white vinegar (about 6 oz) -food coloring (red, blue, yellow) (use the cheap water-based kind for a true red, the organic ones are more purple/pink color) -baking soda (enough to cover your tray - about 8 oz which is about half a box!) -cookie sheet (can be lined with foil, but it does not have to be) -6 small containers for the vinegar (we will be mixing the colors during class, so keep them empty for now) -medicine syringe, eyedropper, or spoon
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
I love looking around me and asking questions. "What if....?" Science is full of "what if" questions. Come explore simple science experiments with me. Most of the items can be found around your home or easily found at the store. I also have a love for math... especially math games. Join me as we make math fun! Many parents and learners appreciate the way I bring laughter to the classroom.
I have been an educator for 10 years: online ESL teacher for 5 years, and a Kindergarten teacher for 5 years before that. I have worked with children of all ages in various summer school and online activities. I have a Bachelor's in Music Education from Boise State University and a Masters in Pastoral Studies from Multnomah University. I live in Idaho, USA with my husband and my 2 young daughters (Ages 2 and 5). We enjoy reading books, getting a little messy, and taking walks together.
