Introduction to Meditation and Mindfulness
Breathing exercises for relaxation. Guided meditation focusing on awareness of breath and awareness of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment.
Lesson 2
Exploring Positive Affirmations
Introduction to positive self-statements. What are affirmations? Why are they important? Creating simple affirmations for confidence. A guided mediation using positive affirmations.
 Week 2
Lesson 3
Understanding Self-Confidence
Defining self-confidence and its importance. Group discussion on personal strengths and challenges. Creating affirmations tailored to boosting confidence. Guided meditation using self confidence affirmations.
Lesson 4
The Magic of Visualization & Music
Visualization exercises for boosting self-esteem. How music impacts mood. Sharing personal successes and challenges. Guided meditation using self-confidence affirmations and visualization.
 Week 3
Lesson 5
Cultivating Gratitude and Positivity
Practicing gratitude through meditation and journaling. Guided meditation on self-compassion.
Lesson 6
Overcoming Negative Thoughts
Discussing practical ways to overcome negative thoughts. Exploring positive thinking habits. Guided meditation using self assuring affirmations.
 Week 4
Lesson 7
Visualization and Goal Setting
Using visualization techniques for goal-setting. Setting SMART goals. Journaling plans. Guided meditation using visualization and positive outcome affirmations.
Lesson 8
Building Resilience
Understanding resilience and its importance. Mindfulness exercises for stress management. Understanding the importance of making mistakes. Guided meditation using positive affirmations for resilience.
 Week 5
Lesson 9
Positive Mindset Around Setbacks
Discussion on how to reverse the narrative when dealing with setbacks. Guided meditation using reassuring affirmations.
Lesson 10
Creating Personal Affirmation Cards
Using index cards to create personal affirmation cards to assist with personal development.
 Week 6
Lesson 11
The Importance of Consistency
Discussing the most important aspect of progress; consistency. Creating a personal affirmation and or meditation routine.
Lesson 12
Integration and Celebration
Celebration and sharing achievements/progress. Reflecting on progress and insights gained. Reviewing favorite meditation techniques.
This class is taught in English.

I have been using meditation and daily affirmations since 2011 to overcome depression and anxiety. Since then I have overcome my depression and my fears of traveling solo, starting a business and making new friends. Meditating and using affirmations is a daily practice in my life and I have seen significant improvement in my mood, self-confidence and ability to manifest the life I dreamed about. In 2022, I moved to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and taught weekly mediation and journaling workshops on the beach and received a large amount of positive feedback from participants involved. I want to extend these benefits to the youth to provide them with the support they need to thrive in this world.  I am the living example that both of these methods combined can substantially advance ones progression in life and I look forward to sharing my knowledge.
