Quizbowl Masters- Elementary
In this class, students will answer fun and exciting Quiz Bowl questions just for kids. It's a great way to get ready for Quiz Bowl competitions and enjoy learning new things!

This class is not only an opportunity to practice Quiz Bowl-style questions but also to test your knowledge. Questions will be from a variety of categories including, Humanities & Fine Arts, Literature, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Current Events/Pop Culture. Students will interact with the teacher and classmates via Zoom and https://buzzin.live/. Game Play: Students will be asked a toss-up question. If they know the answer, they will buzz in through the online buzzer. If they get the answer correct, they will get the opportunity to answer a bonus question. If they get the answer wrong, the next player to buzz in will get the opportunity to answer the question. If the second student, gets the answer correct, they will get a bonus question. If the second student gets the question wrong, the question will be done and the correct answer given. This will allow more questions/topics to be covered in the class. Each toss-up question will have 5 seconds to be answered; Bonus 10 seconds When students buzz in, they will need to wait to be called on before giving their answer. If more information is needed, the moderator (teacher) will say prompt. Example: Student says Roosevelt. They would be prompted to give a first name. At the end of the class, the student with the most points will be the Trivia Champ for the class. Certificate available by request. Please note that this class is not sactioned by any specific organization and questions used are published on the web by various quiz bowl archives as well as collected by the teacher from years of competitions.
