Quick and Easy Reading Comprehension Review (3rd-4th Grade)!

In this one-time class, learners will practice their reading comprehension skills and strategies!

Class Experience

Learning to read is a great skill! However, accurately comprehending WHAT you're reading is an entirely different skill! 
In this class, we will go over Reading Comprehension strategies to help your learner develop better reading skills and prepare them for upcoming end-of-course testing!
In 30-minutes, we will go over basic reading strategies that will assist your learner in becoming a proactive reader! 
We will work through each reading passage together and will work together to implement strategies to enhance their reading skills!
Most students should be able to read on an intermediate level.
Our objectives are:
Learners will review reading comprehension skills
Learners will practice reading comprehension, under the guidance of the instructor (Mrs. Rachel).
Learners will ask questions as needed in order to better understand each concept or passage

Learning Goals

Students will conclude this class with strategies to enhance their reading comprehension.

Supply List

There is a worksheet to follow along with each passage as well as the questions at the end of each reading segment. Also included is the strategies that we will cover in this class. This material will be posted before class begins.

Hello! My name is Mrs. Rachel and I am so happy that you're interested in one of my classes! 
I love working with students of all ages and giving each student the support they need to learn at their pace! 
I have worked as a paraprofessional in PreK classrooms and Special Education classrooms! I am also TESOL certified! I also work on and off with other moms, assisting them with homeschooling tips and ideas! 

I believe that education is extremely important! I also believe in promoting independence in learners so they can enjoy the education process! Learning should be enjoyable, not boring or undesirable! 

I am excited to explore one of the following subjects with you in one of my classes: Intro to Piano, Beginner Music Theory, Elementary Math Skills, Word Problems, Sentence Diagramming, Learn to Write a Story, Creative Writing, Elementary Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Canva Basics. and more! 

I believe that every student is bright and capable to learn and it's our job as educators to provide a learning experience that benefits each student! Learning should be fun, not a chore!
