🖥 Python is one of the best languages for beginner coders to learn. In this camp, I will focus on teaching Python Programming Language from scratch. In this 8 lesson project-based course, students will learn to program using Python, the most popular programming language for software engineering, data science, and AI. This means we will begin with installation for Python setup and then go step by step over every basic concept needed to understand the Language and syntax.
🐍 My Python lessons teach students programming fundamentals, including the usage of variables, data types, functions, conditional statements and loops as well as how to use the String library. Learning Python immensely enhances students’ abilities to think critically and logically.
📝 In each class we will have 5 minutes of introduction, then 20 minutes of understanding a new concept through my lecture and slides. Then the next 20 minutes will be dedicated to students and me coding in real time, asking questions, helping each other and practically understanding the concepts through coding.
👩🏽💻 In my class, students are welcome to ask as many questions as they want to help them understand everything. I'm focused on student's learning of the concepts and logic building.
📚Following are the concepts we will learn in this Python Course:
➣ SESSION 1 - Download & Install Python, Run Python Code and get a glimpse into the world of coding
➣ SESSION 2 & 3 - Discovering Variable Types - how they are different and how they work, Print Statement - its uses and syntax
➣ SESSION 4 & 5 - Taking Input in Real-time to build user based programs, String Manipulation - indexing, slicing and string functions
➣ SESSION 6 & 7 - Loops (while & for) - their uses, syntax and implementation, Conditional Statements (if, elif, else)
➣ SESSION 8 - Final Project - We create games like Trivia Quiz, Rock Paper Scissors, Number Guessing Game, Hangman, etc.
👨🏽💻The final project will be very beginner friendly and students will be given clear instructions on it. They will then get turns showing it in class on our last session day. We will create a game as our final project!
📄 This is a beginner's class so they don't require any prior knowledge. They just need to be ready to learn and participate 😀
💻 I share my screen where they see my slides and coding platform, while I show them how to Run, debug and code.
NOTE: If the available class times don't work for you, please message me with your preferred day and time, and your time zone, and I will accommodate you
Learning Goals
