Class Experience In this 3-week Python Summer Coding Camp Level 2 by Codingal, backed by Y Combinator, students will dive deeper into Python programming, reinforcing their knowledge of functions, lists, and other core concepts while building fun and interactive games. They’ll apply what they've learned in real-world projects like Guess the Number, Rock Paper Scissors, and Bingo Braniacs. What will be taught? Functions: How to define and use functions in Python Lists: Manipulating and managing lists Loops & Conditionals: Reinforcing core Python skills with interactive projects Games: Students will build games using the Python concepts learned What topics will we cover? Introduction to Python functions List handling in Python Implementing loops and conditionals in games Interactive projects like a calculator, to-do list, and more How is your class structured? The class is structured as a 3-week program, with two lessons per week. Each lesson will focus on a specific project where students apply Python concepts in fun, interactive ways. Each session is packed with hands-on coding practice, project building, and real-time problem-solving. How will you teach? We will use a blend of live coding, discussion, and hands-on activities to guide students through each concept. We will start by discussing the theory, followed by coding demonstrations, and then students will code their own projects with my support. What’s your teaching style? Our teaching style is interactive, engaging, and hands-on. I focus on making coding fun and relatable, encouraging students to ask questions and experiment with the code. I believe in learning by doing, and each lesson will be designed to make students feel confident in their coding abilities. How much will learners get to interact with you? Students will get plenty of opportunities to interact with me during each class: Live coding demonstrations Real-time problem-solving in coding challenges Q&A sessions to clarify doubts Collaborative coding in small groups to encourage teamwork and discussion
Learning Goals
Students will understand how to define and call functions in Python to make their code modular and efficient.
