In this fun weekly ongoing class, this successful Certified Dog Trainer will be working with learners to teach them how to train their own dogs. This teacher uses positive techniques and commands. This is an ongoing class and students can join anytime. Each meeting, we will be learning to teach a command for dogs or older puppies such as sit, stay, recall, place, loose leash walking, leave-it, etc. We will also learn tricks and play games with our dogs. Further, we will discuss our favorite dog breeds and learn how to bond with our four legged friends! Students will have the opportunity to practice training their dogs in the class and receive correction and helpful instruction from the teacher. #superstar New Year New Beginnings! Learning Goals
Students will improve their skill in training their own dogs to listen and obey cues and commands. They will improve in problem solving various behavior issues in their dogs. Additional goals are to have fun and learn how to have positive experiences with their dogs or puppies by playing games. The learner will strengthen the bond of communication and interaction between human and dog.

Learning Needs
Teacher will help support learning by demonstrating cues, repeating directions and asking questions for understanding.
Parental Guidance
Dogs are unpredictable and may not always learn at the same pace. Puppies should be older than 3 months. Children should be able to control their dog and be able to follow directions. A child may need to be reminded that dogs have a different way of communicating. It is recommended that you have the puppy or new dog at least 3 weeks before enrolling in a class.

Master's Degree in Education from Walden University
Bachelor's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from Cal State University of Fullerton
Teacher is ISCDT Certified, an AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator and tester observer with Alliance of Therapy Dogs.
