⭐️ I can't wait to see you in class!

Presenting (in one form or another) is now a required new life skill. This one-time class serves as an ideal complement to my other Public Speaking Life Skills class offerings, especially if your learner is an animal lover!

Enroll in this valuable course to further develop and practice the fundamentals of public speaking / effective communication skills, english language skills / researching for a speech, help build confidence + social skills, gain knowledge around both active listening (manners / etiquette) + how to initiate a conversation, and even have the opportunity to practice these evolving skills in real time (via an interactive show and tell with our pet or stuffed animal). Classmates will have the opportunity to ask questions about other learners' pets and engage in thoughtful discussions that are gently guided by Coach Jen.

My goal is to create a comfortable, social, and empowering environment that ensures the process of growing our confidence in, and our knowledge about, these important communication skills is engaging, memorable, and most importantly - oh, so much fun!

Each learner will have the opportunity to practice initiating a conversation / presentation by introducing their pet to class, and sharing 2 - 5 interesting details about them. While not required, it is however suggested that learners come to class prepared with a few fun facts about their pet that they intend to share.

Examples include, but are not limited to our pet's: name and / or nicknames, age, species or breed, favorite toy, favorite treat, how our pet came to live with us, favorite activities we love to enjoy with our pet, how we care for our pet, something funny or unique about our pet, how long we've had our pet, any safe tricks our pet loves to perform, our favorite things about our pet, etc.

If you have a pet free household, that's OK too! Students are more than welcome to bring their favorite stuffed animal to class and utilize their imaginations to share information about their stuffed pet.

If you have multiple pets, please select only one pet to share about for the purpose of this class. While not required, it is however suggested that learners come to class prepared with a photo of their pet, just in case a parent determines it's best their pet remain off-camera for class that day. This way, the learner can show the photo to class while still participating in the exercise of speaking publicly about their pet.

This class is led by an internationally renowned public speaker and critically acclaimed / award-winning SAG-AFTRA/AEA Performing Artist with over 2 decades of professional experience in television, film, live theatre, commercials, and radio. I have been teaching numerous styles and elements of acting / voice / dance, life skills, creative writing, yoga (various disciplines), and meditation / mindfulness techniques to children and adults since the age of 16. In addition, I am a trained Wellness (Health) + Life Coach and an avid pet lover since childhood.

With that said, this public speaking and communication life skills experience is meant to be fun-filled! As a child and adult that has lived experience with her own ADHD, I was thrust into so many creative classes at a very young age where the focus was "perfect technique" and getting my training - "just right". It was very challenging for me, and despite the fact that I began acting and performing professionally at a young age... it has always taken me some more time and practice than my colleagues to focus and retain information. Therefore, it is of the utmost importance to me that this class be about smiles, creativity, sharing, confidence building, and enjoying the process while we interact with each other and our lovable animal friends!

A Few Tips For A Successful Class...

⭐️ Please ensure your learner knows how to mute + unmute themselves.

⭐️ Siblings are more than welcome, however each learner must be individually enrolled in the class.

⭐️ Water IS encouraged throughout the class.

⭐️ Only the registered learner is permitted to be on-camera.

⭐️ If there is anything you feel I should be aware of about your child before the start of class, please message me privately. I respond to all private messages within 24 hours.

⭐️ No previous public speaking experience is necessary for this class.
