This is an engaging small-group class specifically designed to develop young, shy learners who struggle to find their voice, gain confidence, build their leadership skills (Yes! Children should learn about leadership), and improve their listening skills. We will have age appropriate topics where each learner will have the opportunity to speak about during the class. I've achieved my Advanced Communicator and Competent Leader through Toastmasters International. I am a trained public speaker for over 10 years.
At the end of each class, we will choose a topic for the next class and speakers will be required to prepare their speech prior to the next class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
All students will receive informal assessments/feedback from their peers. As part of a group discussion, we will talk about what each speaker could do differently or better. I will close with my observations and feedback.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
