Public Speaking Boot Camp!
In this 5 week course, students will learn how to give an effective introduction, organized body, and memorable conclusion to a speech. The class builds toward a speech that will be given on the 5th lesson.

US Grade 9 - 12
Beginner - Advanced Level
This class will give learners the information and practice to become confident public speakers. We will cover introduction, body, conclusion, and delivery aspects of public speaking. The class is structured to allow students to build upon what they learn, while allowing for practice and feedback. My teaching style is highly involved with my learners. I offer feedback and give learners chances to improve. Students will interact with me throughout the entire sessiom eqch week.
Syllabus
5 Lessons
over 5 WeeksLesson 1:
Public speaking: The Introduction
We will go over the importance of the introduction of the speech and how to captivate your audience right away. Students will get to try out some hypothetical speech introductions and get feedback. 60 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Public Speaking: The Body
We will go over how to organize our thoughts for a speech and what details to include when speaking to an audience. Students will get a chance to brainstorm speech ideas that will be given on the last session (5th session). 60 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Public Speaking: The Conclusion
We will dicuss how to end a speech strongly and memorably. Students will get to create hypothetical conclusions for their upcoming speeches and get detailed feedback. 60 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Public Speaking: Delivery
We will discuss the importance of delivery aspects, such as eye contact, conversational style, and enthusiasm. Students will practice their delivery by practicing a small portion of their upcoming speech that will be given the following session. Feedback will be given. 60 mins online live lesson
