In this class, students are introduced to the world of psychology! Psychology is the scientific study of mind, mental processes, and behavior. The word “psychology” comes from the Greek words “psyche,” meaning life, and “logos,” meaning explanation.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The course introduces students to field of psychology and the many approaches taken to understanding human behavior, including behavioral biases. Students will find that their preconceptions about psychology will be challenged and changed, and they will learn that psychology is a field that will provide them with new ways of thinking about their own thoughts, feelings, and actions.
