In individual sessions, a student and I will do a collaborative line-by-line reading of a single academic writing assignment they've completed - such as a report, essay, research paper, outline, and so on. Together we will work on refining mechanics such as capitalization, punctuation, spelling, grammar and other writing conventions in the piece. We may also address substantive issues such as clarity, organization and fluency.  Sessions can be tailored to the student's need: in-depth help or basic support, and whatever specific guidance they are seeking. Parents may decide whether to devote a short (15 minutes) moderate (30 minutes) or long (1 hour or more) amount of time based on the assignment and needs of the student. If possible, parents please notify me with exactly what the student needs proofread and edited, how long it is, the purpose of the assignment, due date and other specifics and I will recommend a time frame for the task. We will agree on and set a date or dates for the student to meet with me. Parents may book single or multiple sessions. For optimal results, please supply me with a typed copy of the document in advance of our session. If this is not possible, please be able to screen share the document when we meet.  If the listed dates do not work with your schedule or availability, please contact me so we can arrange a more convenient time for you.
