This ongoing class will cover math curriculum from 7th grade math. Topics to be covered include 
Negative numbers: addition and subtraction.
Negative numbers: multiplication and division.
Fractions, decimals, & percentages.
Rates & proportional relationships.
Expressions, equations, & inequalities.
Geometry.
Statistics and probability.
This is a drop in class and each week will include math battles through the prodigy.com free platform. Learners can either sign up for an account before the class or during the class and will be given a class code for the club. Learners can battle other learners in the class or they can battle another learner already in the prodigy world. I will receive data through my class code and open a breakout room with anyone that needs additional help on a particular topic. I will then guide that learner on a problem that I saw that they got wrong and model for them the process that they should take the next time they see a problem like that. I will then give them a similar problem as an exit ticket to go back into the battles. Each week, I will display the Wizard of the Week at the end of the class time for the most points earned.
Learners can also chat with each other to share what world they are located in so that they can meet up to battle. Learners can have free flowing discussion in the room while they are working on problems. They can also ask myself questions if they get stuck on a problem.
Learners should either be entering into 7th grade to prepare themselves for what they will see or they can be learners that have finished 7th grade but need extra practice before going to 8th grade.
