Florida Teaching Certificate in Special Education
I am a retired special education teacher who taught all the basic classes from K-12. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a master of arts in 2002. I hold a few add-on certificates, such as Braille I and 2, RESOL (ESOL and Reading), English, SS, and math K-6. I believe in high critical thinking for students who allow themselves to be trained in problem-solving in all areas. Real life is about making decisions that will lead us to success. What is success? This is defined individually. We do not want to reach mature age to realize that our decisions took us on the wrong path. The Socrates debating method was born from an inquisitive nature to question what was established in the fields of philosophy, politics, and religion. This is a way of developing the ability to think, it includes the wisdom to see what is coming before it comes. This is an impossible task for many because of the lack of knowledge. Maybe. Lack of understanding. Maybe. Definitely, lack of application. My modesty impels me to clarify that I am a human with weaknesses and fortes. Do not expect perfection. Great relationships are built on honesty and respect as a foundation. Finally, I continue teaching because once retired I discovered that once a teacher, always a teacher I will be.
